Snape heard her words he spoke simply "Yes, that is one thing that never changes life goes on & we simply learn to deal with it as one thing that cannot be changed" Snape might of said more when he heard a knock at the door his eyes shifted to it as he look to it before looked at Narcissa "I had though to ask if that could be Lucius but, then he has more odds to just walk in then knock"

Narcissa nodded as she set her daughter down on the floor.
"Hello Alexis" she said when the door opened to reveal her goddaughter, "come on in, your father is already here." She said welcoming Alexis into the Manor.
Seeing her mother, Sabrina happily changed her face to a duck's. "Is that my baby duckie?" Narcissa cooed at Sabrina as she picked her up, twirlling her around.

It did not take long for the door to be answered, for Narcissa promptly came over to it. Alexis smiled when she saw the face of her godmother and stepped inside, removing her cloak from around her.
"Hello Narcissa. I did not realize that my father would be here, for I just dropped by for a visit," she replied completely unaware that her father was there today. She just loved coming by the Malfoys, for it was her home away from home.
She followed Narcissa into the sitting room where she saw her father as well as little Sabrina doing her cooing and making her faces.
"Hello father," she acknowledged that he was there, "Narcissa, I cannot believe how big she is getting already. It seems like only yesterday was she brought into this world."

Snape much like Alexis was supprised to see her not that she was not welcome here but, more that there paths had crossed on the same day & time to be here. Snape spoke back to Alexis words "Hello Alexis" Snape was not supprised by her last though "And to think before Narcissa knows it she will be at Hogwarts, for school" It was a fact children appered to grow up fast & one could easly lose a moment if they where not around. Thankful Snape had been around as much as he could when it came to Alexis but, he also had help when need be & he was greatful for that help.

Alexis smirked when her father said hello to her and then laughed a bit when he said his words to Narcissa. "Yes, it does appear that children grow up too fast. I mean, I find myself surprised sometimes when I wake up only having graduated from Hogwarts two years ago," she replied.
