A Walk

[Professor Severus Snape]

Snape could not think of the time that had passed & he was still here, alive with out someone killing him something that was sure to surprise people. Though Snape wore his school robes like always, as black as coal he his hair in areas mostly around his temples was starting to show more of his age. How ever even with that fact, people still feared him so they left him be, something he was glade for because he at the moment was not in the mood to fight, he had spent most his life doing that already in some form.

Erin made her way slowly through diagon alley. She could get used to the peace that seemed t be seeping through the wizarding world, and it was nice for once not to have to watch over her shoulder with every step she took. Mind you, there was always someone who wanted to upset the delicate balance of good vs evil, but for now the world made sense.

Dressed in a pair of dark grey pants, with a medium weight purple long sleeve cashmere sweater, Erin had left her long red hair down so it was falling in loose curls around her shoulders and back. Passing a figure in Hogwarts robes, Erin did a quick turn. "Snape," she said walking over to her old potions master.

Snape heard his name called, he stopped before he turned to look at who called his name, it took him a moment to see Erin & then another for him to place the face "Erin" Though he did not know if she needed to speak with him or if it was more, just a greating, so he waited to see what she would say.

Erin made her way over to the potions master, pushing a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Sorry, you probably didn't remember me right away," she said shrugging thin shoulders. "I do need to speak to you though," Erin spoke softly as she stopped before the slytherin head of house. "It's about one of your fellow professors.. Oliver Davidson.." Erin paused. "Do you know much about him?"

Snape watched as she moved closer, he did not say it took him a moment to place her, he was not going to look weak so quick, though with her words he was not sure how to take it, he knew the man to some degree, but then he hardly trusted so he was careful what he said. "What about him? I do on some levels, why what do you think ether I need to know or I can answer?"

Erin ran a small hand through her long hair and sighed. Suddenly she felt like she was back in Hogwarts and discussing a failed test for some reason. "Well Sir," she said trying to figure out best how phrase what she was going to say. "You see, he's just been a person of interest for sometime, and I was just wondering if you'd noticed anything.. off about him." Erin paused watching Snape for any sort of hint of what he was thinking. Oliver Davidson was a loose cannon and the ministry wanted to get a better knowledge of him especially when he was working so close to future of the wizarding world.

Snape heard her words though he was like a mask of stone giving nothing away, after all he had years of being a spy to show anything could be taken wrong & being a spy as he was, well one did not get the chance to try again. He watched her, allowing his eyes to look into hers as if to find a truth or lie "I cannot say I looked that close, but then why would my words be taken into any account, when not that long ago I was the one of interested & still to this day I am ether hated or my motives are questioned" Of course he did notice some things about the man, but then he new something he did not know if they knew of him being a werewolf & as much as he might not like the man at times like before when dealing with such professors he did his job & did what he could to help.

Erin ran a hand through her hair in frustration before stuffing both of her small hands into the front pockets of her cloak. "Look professor Snape," she said a bit annoyed he was giving nothing away. She was a trained auror.. or well close to being one and still she couldn't read anything this man was thinking. "I know your history, and I know you've helped the ministry before," she added. "I can't say too much, but Mr. Davidson doesn't have a track record that shows he's a nice man" Erin paused trying to think how much she could say. "I'm simply looking for more information on him. Digging up a bit of dirt to ensure that the safety of student at Hogwarts."

Snape heard her words, he of course could see her vies on things, but like always he would protected the students until the end, when it came for him. How ever even with thee idea to help, he would have to speak to the headmistress first, it was not his place to say all of what he knew & because of it well when things where found out, he was sure turn turn up in the talk, making things come back at him. He looked at Erin "I will let you know, should I see anything" That was the best he would do for now & to be honest the most he could offer was, since if he said the facts he knew or more some of them, he would only dig himself into trouble with the Ministry for helping & then second the Headmistress & since he worked for her well he would lose his job & he did not see allot of people with open arms to hire him.

"Snape," Erin said trying again. "I know you hear things, I know that you're not the bad guy people make you out to be." Erin paused. "I know you've helped the ministry before, you don't need to be worried, I'm not out to get you fired. In fact that's the furthest from my mind, even if you did try to fail me on every test and exam, Hogwarts needs you." Erin looked around to make sure no one was within ear shot. "I know there is something wrong with Oliver, help me bring him down." Erin wondered why Snape was hiding information from her, it wasn't news that Oliver Davidson wasn't the best of professors, and it was a wonder that the Headmistress would even have him on her staff.

With her first words he looked more at her since her tone was clear she was trying to get a point to him, to reason with him though it did not mean he would back down form what he said before. "Ow, I am sure, some of the things they said about me when making me to be the bad guy, are all very fact & I always hear things, that does not mean I always have to say them now does it?" He watched her closely as he spoke "And never tried to fail you, if I had wanted it I would of found a way, I just gave you more reason to try harder" Though he did not miss her words on helping her with dealing with Oliver, like her though he made sure none where around as he spoke again "Help you bring him down? And what would you like me to do about it kill him? For as I recall your people are against such idea & send many to jail for such actions"

Erin waved a hand dismissing the fact of whether Snape had tried to fail her or not. She'd spent many sleepless nights perfecting her word and she'd never been able to be the top in her class. But that was the past. "Regardless," Erin said trying to move on. "Is that what you think needs to be done?" Erin asked as Snape asked if she wanted Oliver dead. "What do you know Snape?" she asked again.

Snape heard her words & saw her actions he smirked a moment before he spoke "I asked you first, I just thought if you see him as such a threat why not remove the issue & be done with it?" Of course some had tried that with him a few times & well did not end well for who ever tried it, though at Erin's last words he was guarded as he answered "You mean other then he can be a jerk in some way? I have noticed he has left Hogwarts more over the past few months, though that does not mean anything or prove anything ether"

Erin nodded as Snape spoke. "Surely if he was dead, I wouldn't be having the problems I'm having now," she sighed. "I wouldn't be out asking old professors about their fellow colleagues... Snape you can't tell anyone I'm asking about him. If he is as bad as I think, he'll surly kill me should he find out who is investigating him." Erin paused. "Is there any way you could befriend him in anyway? Would he trust you and maybe open up to where he's been going when he leaves Hogwarts? Would you be willing to try?"

Snape smirked "Well if he was dead then of course you would not have the issue" He looked at her with the rest of he words "I promise, to tell no one you are asking about him" Though that did not mean he could not ask with out using a name "I cannot say he would trust me, at least to such a degree, I could try of course though I cannot promise anything" He could speak to the man & see what would happen, though he did not promise he would put all his effort into it or that he would make it work, but he could speak with him to see if he did indeed pose a threat that was best dealt with.
