Snape was wandering the grounds of Hogwarts though he was keeping an eye out for students that should not be out or where they should not be. But, his main reason for being here was to get away from people & at the moment this was the best place, though he had treated everyone more harshly even for him.
Much like a viper with venom, he was bitterer then ever & for Snape that said something, though none dared to ask him why or try to prove or disprove this was the case.
Snape was not an easy man to get along with when he was his normal nasty self, let alone now. So when people saw him they did well to clear out of his way, unless they wished to see an angry Snape.
The thing that had Snape set off so much was because of the day though it was not any day but, the day the Albus had died. At his one hand, it matter little to why, not that people cared but, even with agreeing to it & knowing it was something he had to do, it did not mean he did not miss Albus now, that he did not wish for his guides even now, when his world appeared to turn up side down again.
In many ways Albus was much like a father & mentor, with out Albus Snape could not say where he would have been with out him. Likely dead or in Azkaban, though he might of become worse then that, had things not gone as they had & sure it had not turned out well in the end, that came ether but, at least it was the turning point for Snape.
Though threw the years Snape had not changed or appered to so he was some one that, many wished they could finguer out, that they knew what to make of him, for ever time they though something or did something, Snape would do something to make them question. And in many ways pull the rug out form under them.
His robes, glided out behind him as he moved over the grounds, he knew he would need to go in soon but, he wanted to hold off tell there was no choose.
Snape later turned to head inside Hogwarts & his actions & treatment to people was not better, how ever with out even knowing it he soon found him self on the 7 floor. And as his mind came to this so did memorys, or the past.

McGonagall had been wandering up and down the halls of Hogwarts, not only just to see that the students were behaving, but she felt like she needed to get out of the office. Or rather Albus' old office. She almost felt like an intruder sitting at his desk on the anniversary of the day he had died. She missed him dearly and it pained her in her heart to have lost such a dear friend. Though, she also felt that Albus' death was in the past, and all she could do was keep his memory alive, learn from the past, and keep moving on.
McGonagall was wearing her pointy hat like always, her face set in an even more stern look, though it was more of a look of not wanting to be bothered, which meant no fooling around on the students part. Her dark robe with the slight tint of green, one of her personal favorites, and Albus' too. Her spectacles glinted in the dimming sunlight as she turned over the past years in her head.
Rounding the corner, she saw Snape making his way towards her. She said in a harsh yet softer voice mainly in rememberance of Albus, "Good evening Severus. I trust you find the grounds quite enjoyable?", a thin smile on her lips.
Minerva had noticed him walking about earlier, and didn't really feel like bringing up the matter of Albus' death at the moment. Snape was the one who had committed the act, but Albus had put so much faith in him. And Minerva had noticed to that as a boy, Severus was drawn to Albus, and they were good to each other. She had no idea why Severus would kill Albus other than that it was part of some greater plan....most likely of Albus' somehow. This piece of information was placed firmly in Minerva's mind and was constantly drawn upon in rememberance of why she even trusted Snape in the first place.

Snape had watched as Minerva approched, it did help to bring him to the pressents but her words set him off. More becouse it was noticed that he was there & perhaps it was more becose of the day, Snape was in a bad mood & nothing so far had changed it for him. "Good evening Minerva, though I cannot say the grounds where enjotable"
He had been close to bitting at her, treating her as he would another had they said such things to him. But, Snape knew Minerva, true he walked & pushed others around but, Minerva was not one to try such things with, she could be just as cunning & tackfull as him & right now he did not want to deal with the idea.

"I'm sorry they weren't to your liking. Albus would have enjoyed a night like this." McGonagall stated, looking directly at Snape, before turning to look out the window.
It was really no use to beat around the subject. They both knew what day it was and the circumstances. Things like this were best to be kept in the open or they would fester away in their minds.

Snape heard her words, why could he not be left alone to his own device in this matter why, did it feel like everyone was against him because of what happened. He might have if, he was still alive” Snape could felt the anger flicker threw him & what he had started with not wanting to start anything with McGonagall & Head Mistress he had appeared to forget about. “Why are you here, to remind me on what happened & the crime that has been sure to black list me in the Wearing World?”

"Really Severus, if you think I'm blacklisting you or judging you from what happened to Albus, you're completly wrong. You shouldn't be as quick to judge others yourself."
Minerva looked at Snape through her glasses, her stare one of pure sincerity and sterness.

Snape heard Minerva words & with her lock, he was forced into silence. "And how can you not judge me for what happened, I never denyed it. After all there was Potter, that could say what happened, as well Draco & others" Perhaps Snape had miss judged Mierva or it could of been that he had simply gotten use to the idea of being judged by everyone. "You think I have not tryed to not judge others but, with years of finding nothing I did ever changed a thing in peoples eyes how else do you expected me to acted?"

"Past events can never be fully explained, Severus. Though I do know this. Albus trusted you like a son and if you did kill Albus, I know it was with just cause. Whatever Albus believed in, I believe in also, and that is including you." Minerva stated.
She could have said more on that she believed in Albus so much that she had gone through the pain staking effort of saving Severus when he was suppossed to have died. But, she felt that acts such as saving another was best to be kept hidden until another time.
"As for your actions only fools fight fire with fire. If you didn't want to be judged you shouldn't have judged others. You might miss those that could really be your most trusted friends."

Snape looked at Minerva “A fool am I now” Better then being called a coward any way. “Ayy but, you see when it come to fighting fire with fire, up tell you it was never a question on what they though of me, because I knew”
Snape looked even more at Minerva “Friends? What friends other then Albus I had none & it was not lack of trying no, it was merely because people did not trust me or they apposed that, I was bound to turn traitor. Enough so that they did well to tell Albus, not that he paid them any heed but, then Albus was a man among men in his ways & he was wise beyond his years as well”

"I'm not saying you are anything. We make of ourselves what we take to heart. One can call you a fool, but you can pay no heed to it. It is only when you call yourself a fool that you become one to yourself." Minerva looked at Snape, wondering what on earth Albus wanted her to do in helping him.
"Do you really believe you have no friends Severus?" Minerva crossed her arms, her head tilted to the side. She looked Severus straight in the eye, patiently waiting for his reply. She felt like she was going to be fighting a losing battle. If anyone could make Snape see that he wasn't alone, for he at least had her and Albus on his side, it would be a miracle.

With her first words Snape had been close to saying somthing but, had held back as if thinking to do so would only make him feel a fool. Somthing he did not wish to feel at any time or be the blunt joke of everyone ether.
At her last word Snape "The friend I had is dead but, then you must be thinking of some one since you said friends" In the back of his mind he though of Minerva but, it was hard to exepted & admited to so it was best to not go there first.

Minerva looked at Snape, raising an eyebrow. She didn't dare tell him what first came to mind, knowing that it wouldn't help the cause. Though, reflecting on her own stance with Severus she realized she would be considered a friend. She was always there, though Albus had usually been with them. But, the fact alone that she saved Severus from certain death would constitute her as a friend, but he didn't know that.
"I don't know about others at the moment, but what one does for another, sometimes without them knowing, is a great friendship to have. But, a friendship and all relationship's go both ways, if one is always giving and not recieving then all you have is a loyal but painful relationship."
Minerva looked out the window slightly before turning back to Snape. "You don't realize what you have until it's gone. So, it's best to say what's on your mind before it's too late, and my dear Severus, I consider you to be a very great friend indeed."

Snape watched Minerva, he could not say his anger over the matters of Albus was gone but, he knew that it directed his anger & frustration. And he was left to listen to her words & watch out should he find there to be any danger he might be getting into.
And with her first words he was left to think on what she was meaning, other then it was perhaps another jab at him but, then he tried to think better of her. But, he knew that at least he did what he could for Albus, even when he asked for Albus to let him out of his premise he still went threw more because he knew what he had to do.
Though her words he made him think on here words where she was going & likely to go. He watched Minerva, as she looked out the window before looking back at him but her words of not realizing what you had tell it was gone was true, how ever with her last words it was enough to take him by some surprise but, then it made since after all she had allowed him to stay working at Hogwarts even if he was one of the best in his field he knew now her true reason.
She had been able to take him off guard enough that he was left to think on her words “You conceder me… a friend?” His voice for once was nor as harsh & cold as it normally was but, more so it was his next words that where sure to allow a person to hear a pin drop anywhere in the school “Thank you Minerva, I will do what I can to be worthy of it”

Minerva smilled at Severus, "One doesn't need to be worthy to be a friend Severus. I find friendship to exist more on the feelings of trust and appreciation towards another. I must say I am glad that Albus put so must trust in you, for I not only got an excellent Professor in the process but a very talented individual in many areas who I am very proud to say is my friend."
Minerva rested her hand on the railing of the staircase, as if pausing for a moment to think. "I do hope that you consider me a friend as well, Severus. If you ever need anything you know where to find me, and I, like Albus, will trust you no matter what the circumstances."

Snape heard Minerva words & to some degree it was hard to think that she would praise him in such a way & also tell him if he needs anything he could seek out her, he was not sure how long he would do this but, with knowing what he did know he was more likely to do so.
Perhaps, it would help where he was not sure where to turn & the way things where going it could be any time he nodded to Minerva “I will remember that Head Mistress & I do consider you a friend, it was not tell now that I knew where my standing with you was on such fields”
