Riley Devon walked up the dirt road, a book in hand as she read through the old, golden pages. A wreath of flowers was displayed perfectly on her head, a result of the early morning playtime with her younger sisters. She wore no shoes, and her light blue dress danced playfully around the ground, the dust already adorning the edges.
The walk from the surrounding fileds was a long one, but Riley enjoyed the warm sun and the morning chatter from the birds around her. She finaly approached her families home. A home rebuilt in the 1600's a moat surrounding the house with large trees in the front leading up to the entrance. Many pathways lead to the house and interior gardens and rooms were set aside for visitors. The house was very large and beautifully constructed out of rock.
Riley could already hear the morning chatter of her sisters and brothers. Her older siblings staying with them for the weekend with their families the house seemed like it would be overflowing but was so large that the number of people inside made it comfortable and private at the same time.

Reniara couldn't believe she was actually going to do this. She was going to visit her allotted enemies home. She walked up the dirt path. Her usual attire on, her face holding more of a scowl than anything. She could see a girl walking towards the house in the distance and as she got closer she noticed it was Riley.
Reniara stood with her arms crossed over her chest, leaning against one of the larger trees in front of the house. She waited for Riley to approach.

When Riley looked up from her book she noticed a person leaning against one of the trees outside her home. If she hadn't looked up from her novel she wondered if the person would have said anything before she walked by.
Riley squinted as if trying to remember why she felt the person in front of her looked familiar. Then all of the sudden she realized it was Reniara Ashwar. But, what was she doing here? They weren't friends at Hogwarts when they went to school together. Did something happen?
Riley tucked her book underneath her arm and smiled at Reniara. "Good morning Reniara! What can my family and I account to the respects of your visit?"

Reniara's scowl quickly vanished as she saw Riley's cheerful greeting and what she was wearing. Though she didn't dare ask why. "I'm going to get straight to the point. Do you have feelings toward Severus Snape?" Reniara knew she was putting herself out there but she could care less about who Riley told. To her, Riley was as harmless as a speck of dust.
Reniara stood up away from the tree and glared at Riley. She didn't know why she harbored so much hatred for the girl.

Riley hid her shock, and she looked at Reniara as if she was crazy. Reniara came all the way to her house to ask her if she had feelings for her old Professor?!
Riley couldn't help but laugh at the idea. "You think I have feelings for Professor Snape? What gave you that ridiculous idea!"
Riley looked towards the sky trying her best to collect herself. She then looked at Reniara and noticed that she was quite serious about it, and if Reniara's reputation was true it was best not to upset her. "The only feelings I have for Professor Snape are those of extreme resentment and intellectual jousting. He is a man of great words but other than that I find him highly unlikeable, his arrogance and conceitdness are too great."
Riley smiled sweetly, "I can't but help get the feeling that you have feelings for our dear Professor. If you thought me enroaching on your relationship with him, however unrealistic as it may be, please know that I do not stand in your way and would be happy to oblige to have you recieve him."

Reniara clenched her fist. She had just been laughed at by someone she thought lesser of. "I just wanted to see if it was true or not." Reniara turned and quickly walked away from Riley and her family. The girl had been given everything, her life was so perfect and yet she dared to laugh at her, Reniara Aswar.
She didn't wait for a reply but almost ran down the road before she apparated away.

Riley heard Reniara's words and watched her turn away. It was apparent that Reniara had feelings for Professor Snape and she thought it strange but oddly beautiful that Reniara should fall for him.
Riley shouted after her, "Love works in mysterious ways, you can't run from it!"
