Erin sat in front of a desk, one leg crossed over the other as she tapped the end of her wand against a stack of papers on her desk. She was dressed in the a pair of brown pants and a plain white turtle neck sweater, with a deep blood cloak wrapped around her slim body. Erin was waiting for Jamie, the head Auror, Erin had been told that Jamie had wanted to speak with her, But the petite red head couldn't for the life of her figure out why.
Looking around herself, Erin felt on edge, this wasn't her office and she hadn't done anything to be in trouble this time, so why would Jamie want to see her. At the sound of foot steps in the hall, Erin turned and stood up when she heard someone enter the room.

Jamie walked through the hallway, her heels clicking sharply as she turned into her office. She smirked slightly as she saw Erin standing to greet her. "Please, have a seat," she said, her smirk becoming a benign smile. Running a hand along the edge of the desk, she sat down behind it before speaking.
"I know you're wondering why you are here, but you needn't look so worried," she said, chuckling. "I asked you here, because I know you have been looking for a proper mentor for quite a while now, and I need someone to cover my back, and do it correctly. I also had a spot open for a fully qualified Auror. In other words, I plan on taking you as my apprentice. Once you apprentice under my tutelage, you will be qualified to fill this open place. Is this arrangement agreeable to you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she folded her hands together over her desk....

Erin gave a small smile when Jamie told her to sit. She did, tucking her cloak under herself as she did. "Really I'm not-" Erin was about to say worried but Jamie continued talking before she had a chance. Leaning forward a bit in her seat, Erin listened to what Jamie had to say and couldn't help the smile she felt pulling on the edges of her lips.
"Yes," Erin said a little to fast, then stopped herself. "Yes, I would like that very much," she said a bit slower this time, jumping at the opportunity to train under the head Auror. Erin had been working her butt off for this chance and she wasn't about to let it slip through her fingers. "When do I start?"

Jamie smirked again at the girl's reaction. "Excellent. You start either this evening, or tomorrow morning, depending on the reports we get in today. I will let your supervisors know that you are now studying under me," she said, shuffling some papers and stacking them to the side. " I would like you to bring your things into this side office so that you are nearby should we have a case come up," Jamie said casually, flicking her wand. A door to Jamie's right sprang up, displaying a roomy, open office with a desk already inside...

Erin gaped at the office Jamie had summoned. She and all the other Aurors in training had to share an office, but this, a place of her own, was all new and all exciting. Smiling Erin nodded. "Of course," she said feeling like a deer caught in headlights, unaware of the danger that was speeding toward her. "Thank you," Erin said smiling back at Jamie. "Really this is an amazing opportunity, thank you." Erin couldn't help the goofy grin. She wanted to be an Auror more than anything in her life, and now, now she was actually getting the chance to stand out. It was her chance to shine.

Jamie smirked lopsidedly, watching the girl look as though Christmas had come early. "You're welcome," she said, smirking as her eyes glinted with gloating satisfaction for a moment. "All I ask in return is that you pay attention to what I teach you...all of it," she said, a slight smile on her lips.

Erin nodded her head and smiled. "yes of course, I mean I have so much to learn from you." Erin said hardly able to keep her bubbling excitement under control. "I should probably get my stuff from the other office.. I mean unless there was anything else you wanted me to do right now?" Erin smiled

Jamie smirked again. "No, no, go on and get your things. The faster you are settled in, the faster we can move on," she said, chuckling to herself. She stood. "I have some paperwork to attend to to finalize this, so I will see you back here shortly," Jamie said, smiling lightly at the younger woman...
