Erin was mid eye roll when she caught herself and stopped. These two were probably going to be like this all day. Granted Aldar was a special case, Erin knew he could defend himself if he needed, but she wondered why Jamie had such a distaste for the minster. Maybe she would ask at a later date, who knew what she would find out.
"I can handle him, and I'll take full responsibility of the minster and his actions," Erin said with a nod. "I'm sure he won't get in our way now will he?" Erin said looking at Aldar willing him not to do anything that could mess this up for her, willing him to understand that this was her shot, her chance to actually get promoted to full Auror status.

"Fine," Jamie said coldly, before she looked at her watch. "We'd better move quickly," she said, turning her back on the two and marching away down towards the first level to apparate them to their destination...

Erin let out the breath she'd been holding as Jamie finally agreed. As her mentor turned her back to both Erin and Aldar, Erin turned on Aldar. "What are you doing? Don't make her so upset, my career is riding on whether she likes me or not," Erin hissed glaring at the minister. "I can't blow this Adlar, I mess so many things up on my own, this is the first real shot I've had." Erin flipped her hair over her shoulders and turned away from him. "Please," she added quietly as she followed Jamie down the hall, her heels clicking on the stone floor.

Aldar grinned, Erin was so worried about something she didn't need to be worried about. He knew Jamie was dead set on having Erin work for her, and that was what really was bothering him. Jamie wasn't right for Erin. He knew Erin wouldn't change that much, but still, Jamie had the power of influence and who knew what measures she would take to ensure she beat him?
Aldar whispered back as he gently moved to push Erin to follow Jamie. "Don't worry. If anything it will only help secure your position. You could blow up half the Ministry and she would probably still want you." Aldar grimaced realizing that if Erin blew up half the Ministry it would probably make Jamie incredibly pleased. He shook with just the mere thought of it, the irony was too hillarious.
