A Danger When Pressed (Aldar)

[Professor Severus Snape]

Snape had come to the Ministry of Magic, he had not been called or ask, but he was here & he moved clearly with a purpose, he was sure that after today or even shortly he could be in trouble for what he was going to do, but he would not stand around & do nothing when students where in danger & all he could see was that the staff of Hogwarts did all they could why the Ministry was standing around doing nothing, it left a bad taste in his mouth & heads would roll soon, for he was going to make the fact clear that if they where going to do nothing then they need not be around, bold words of course & few where likely to say them let alone stand against such things as the Ministry, but this was Snape so it mattered little who it was or how big, he would deal with them all the same.

He had been asked why he was here, though he said & of course was told he had no meeting today that was wrote down he made it clear he was not leaving with out seeing Aldar, though it was in a nice way & not like going to get thrown out way, soon he was told to head up, though as he did his anger flickered again & in such a moment as this Snape could be one of the deadliest people that ever lived.

As he moved his robes moved with him, giving him more an edge of power to him or perhaps it was more then the way his robes moved or the way he moved altogher it could be just what was coming off of him, for what he felt.

Aldar had been lounging, bouncing a ball against the wall wondering what to do with all the things that had to be done. He knew some would be furious with his lack of action or even leadership, but he often looked at the bigger picture, trying to imagine every possible outcome in the distant future.

Papers were whizzing by him and his random articles that were scattered about the room were moving to whatever place they thought best. Aldar knew using magic to clean often made it difficult to find things again, but then, he never kept anything important at the Ministry. He didn't trust people enough.

Aldar waited patiently for Snape to come in, after learning from his secretary the Professor was on the way, and seemed rather upset. Aldar wasn't afraid of Snape mostly because he wasn't really afraid of anything. It came with a cost though, not being afraid also meant to him, not liking anything either. Everything was rather just as it was.

Snape entered Aldar office he had gotten some control of himself yet he still, in ways wanted blood so the man was still not safe & of course seeing him as he was, well it did nothing to set any better with him, his lips drew back at the idea the man could be so relaxed so, he did not want to think about it. He approached the man & of course his temper got the better of him once he was close enough & that lead to him actions really with out thinking moving to hit Aldar, with his bar fist. The idea of what would come of it or how it would end was not even there as he spoke once he made his move to strike "Is this what you do when, people are in danger seat around doing nothing?" His tone was filled with anger & hate, something that depending how it later went could turn very bad.

Aldar barely looked up when Snape entered the room, seeing how it was getting methodical bouncing the ball back and forth. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Snape move to hit him, but he didn't move out of the way. He figured it would be best for the man to get it out of his system. The punch was a strong one, and Aldar had to quickly readjust his sitting position so he wouldn't fall.

Rubbing his jaw he looked up at Snape. "Nice one. I think the bruise will go well with one of my shirts." Aldar smiled at Snape and turned so that he was more comfortable, crossing his legs.

"Ah, may I ask what danger you are reffering to?" Aldar asked not knowning and not wanting to give away any dangers Snape wasn't suppossed to know about. He waited patiently for his answer, still amussed that Snape had punched him. He was thankful that someone still had the guts to challenge him.

Snape saw Aldar rub his jaw at his words of his shirt Snape narrowed his eyes, he though about hitting him again if, but just because of that smart ass remark though this time he did not as he heard Aldar other words "Do not start with me on what danger, how dare you place the students in danger & yet you seat here doing nothing, how many will have to be hurt before you do something?

Or will it cost more then them being hurt?" Snape growled at the man, he for a moment was more like some dragon then a man & perhaps in some ways was just as bad to be around. He was sorry in some way for hitting the man & not in another, the only thing that would of made him feel even better is if he had knocked the man out of his chair, of course that did not happen & his hand had yet to really hurt form the action, so he did not give it much though on if he hurt his hand or not.

Aldar smiled at Snape and got up from where he was sitting. He leaned against his desk, still slightly out of sorts from being punched. "The students...yes...which danger are you speaking of? As you know Professor, there are many dangers in the world. If you don't pin-point which one you are talking about, I'm afraid nothing could be done."

Aldar looked at Snape waiting for a response. He knew not to fool around as much with Snape as he did others, not because he was afraid of what Snape would do, but rather that he felt that for once in the poor man's life he should be taken seriously.

(Just going with this idea, to help set up the plot of a new dark lord or something like them)

Snape heard the mans words he glared at him before he spoke "I know that well, but perhaps the danger that you are paid to deal with, like this new so called leader that, has started to harm people & is said they have even tried to take students" He best say or do something better or Snape would hit him again just for spite, he was taking this to well & that got Snape going, he was not sure yet if the man just did not care or if he did for it he did then, why was he not showing it.

Aldar coughed as he attempted not to laugh. Here he was thinking there was something else going on that he didn't know about. He looked down and fiddled with the ball, rotating it in his hand. "Ah, yes, that situation. It is sad that this new leader or group, because one can't rule out there just being one, now can we, is harming the students. There always will be a leader, Professor. I'm sorry to burst any percieved ideas you had of the world being all cheery and wonderful."

Aldar glanced at Snape and walked over to the other side of his desk. "I've known about this for a long time. And I know you're so concerned about the students...but what can I do? The presence is everywhere. Want me to tell the little kiddies to go on home and get hurt there instead?"

Aldar laughed, "no, no. You see we are taking care of the situation. You can't convict the bad guy if you don't know who they are. Personally, that information will be staying with me, wouldn't want it getting into the wrong hands. I can send some auror's over to Hogwarts if that will make you feel better, but I've got a whole other side of the world to think about to. Don't want a repeat of what Tommy did." Aldar looked at Snape as if waiting for him to blow up.

What was he suppossed to say? We have a secret weapon and the leader is already locked up? Everything will be fine and dandy? No, it was the truth, as painful as it was, that nature would have her way and balance things, he was just there to maintain the balance and keep the shadows in check.

Snape was almost fuming after Aldar spoke he would of grabbed him & hit him had he not moved away, he looked at Aldar his anger still flickered "Do not pretense me Aldar, I know better then you that there will always be some danger, that there will never be full peace" He after all had at one point been part of it & another forced into it when the dark lord came aback. "As I recall the ministry was so blind once before at the idea of the voldy coming back & that is what allowed him to get so strong again" His lip twitched "Do not bother with sending your auror's, they most the time are more trouble then they are worth, of course if all hell breaks loose I would say other wise, but other then that do not bother, after all you have the rest the world to worry about"

Of course if there was an attack he would of course feel different, but he was think on the times the ministry had people working there it had not gone well & Snape was more likely to bit them then anyone else, of course he had no real say if he did or did not send the people there, it was he just was seeing all to well that he would get no more from the man, just like he was seeing that even now after everything he would be classed into the untrusted, though it might be best he did not know the new leaders name yet or he would of just killed them & been done with it.

Aldar frowned, "yes that was the old ministry, a mistake I won't be making. I have gone through...seen too much...know....to trust anyone completly. Not because of my questioning their loyalty but rather what one can do when their head is on the chopping block. If you want something done right, best to do it yourself."

Aldar looked at Snape. "If you don't want the Ministry's help in the only obvious way we can help, is there anything else?" Aldar wondered if Snape wanted his help in particular. Even though most of the wizarding world thought him rather weak, Aldar was a force to be reckoned with. And he was pretty sure where his target was.

Snape heard his words though he though of saying somthing more he did not, after all he already more then once had heas head on the chooping black, but it mattered little. At Aldar words he spoke simple "Not at the time" He had settled some thought, he was still mad in some way ie was a feeling of losing, in a war that would never be won, Snape moved away form Aldar, desiding he would take his leave before he did somthing he should not. "I will leave you to your work Aldar" With that he waited for the man to speak before he would leave.

Aldar nodded at Snape, and he turned to sit at his desk again. It was an odd meeting, but one that didn't really strike him as out of the ordinary. It was reasonable that Snape was concerned, but if he didn't want a certain kind of help, what was the point in coming? Aldar figured there was something else eating at Snape, but Snape didn't really seem to want to talk about it. So, Aldar let him go.

Snape saw Aldar nod with it he turned to leave, of course he was unsure what would happen becouse of his actions, though he would have to take them what ever they might be. Once out of the building he headed for Hogwarts, desiding it was best to go there where he could cool off more.
