Aldar had found himself on the second floor, and he thought it rather odd seeing how he was determined to go eat a decent meal for once. And this was not the way out of the Ministry. But, perhaps his subconscious had brought him here for a reason, after all he kept turning the positions of certain key players over and over in his head.
Aldar shrugged and decided to sit down on one of the benches in the hallway seeing if anything was going to happen. Besides, he hadn't decided where to go eat yet. Aldar sat in a slumped position, looking at a spot on the floor that glinted from the lights. Dispite his posture, for once Aldar looked nicer than usual, seeing how he had found an old outfit that had never been worn before.
He stared off into space, his fingers moving as if playing an imaginary piano. He was calculating all the possiblities of coming events, and why he had found himself near the Auror Headquarters. Every action and move was significant in some way, he just needed to unravel it all.

Jamie came around the corner, her arms full of files. As she walked, she sorted through them, her brow furrowed. As she tucked one of them under the large pile, another fell, and Jamie frowned as she bent over to get it. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the minister sitting against the wall ad hurriedly straightened up, instead flicking her wand to pick up the file. Flicking her wand again, the files began to hover in front of her, moving as she saw fit towards the filing area Jamie had fired her secretary quite a while ago, but she still did not enjoy the filing. "Really, Minister, one would think you had better things to do than sit around, staring at the floor," she commented sharply, walking past him.

Aldar looked up and watched Jamie, finding it amussing that she was filing things. "Same to you. Do you know how long it takes to file things properly? Just think of the time you could save."
Aldar shifted in his seat and his stomach growled. "Besides, one can't think properly on an empty stomach. Haven't had a proper meal in days." Aldar grimaced as he thought about how much he hadn't eaten. He looked at Jamie wondering what to do about her. He couldn't very well fire her, but he couldn't let her have too much control. Then again, he was the Minister. He could very well do anything.

"I prefer to see that is done correctly, rather than quickly," Jamie replied tersely. She turned for a moment, a fake simpering look on her face. "Aw, have you been so busy in others' business that you've forgotten to eat?" She asked mockingly. "Really, if it is that bad, you need to get your priorities right."
Jamie flicked her wand, sending the files to the filing and document room, before turning back to Aldar, approaching him with a smug smirk before she leaned against the wall. She put a finger to her chin, lookin thoughtful. "What was it you said about working too much...?? And... Aging?? Possibly something about family, too??" Jamie chuckled, the sound dark as her eyes glinted as she leaned forward, in his personal space, but not uncomfortably. She sat down, right next to him. "Perhaps you need to take a leaf out of your own book," she whispered to him, looking mockingly concerned.

Aldar watched Jamie carefully. He hadn't eaten for his own purposes, seeing how starving made the curse on his back weaker. He had managed to remove most of it, and all he wanted was to be able to override the curse at will, for he feared that people would notice a change if it was truly broken. At least, he would remove it fully when he had some time away.
Aldar noticed her mocking tone, "I, my dear old hag, don't care a bit about any of those things."
Aldar turned towards Jamie a grin on his face, "I see you're taking my leaves to heart. Too bad with all your thoughts on family, no one would want you."
Aldar whispered back to her, "there is no use trying to get me to do anything."

Jamie moved closer. "Then it would seem we have more in common that it seems at first," she said, looking at him closely, her voice nearly lusty. She refused to pull away as he insulted her, a small smile pulling at her lips. "You sound like a snubbed schoolboy, Silverton," she said, tucking her wand away casually. "One would think that you would have to be a little more...diplomatic, to achieve your position," she said, smirking as she looked into his eyes...

Aldar noted the lusty tone of Jamie's voice and he couldn't help but laugh. She was utterly making herself look like a fool. Apparently she didn't know he couldn't be won over, his attraction towards others was almost non-exitence.
Aldar grinning looked at Jamie, "and what position is that?" He wondered what she was trying to drive at, and found the whole situation rather amusing.

Jamie chuckled again, stating at him. "Your office, of course. Surely you were a little more polite before you were elected and got such a big head," she said, smirking. She leaned in even more, studying him. "You know, you are just a snubbed little schoolboy, aren't you?" She asked, grinning finally. "I reject your offer, and now you play hard to get. My,my, what they would say if they knew what was going on," she chuckled...

Aldar laughed at Jamie, "I never have been diplomatic."
He sneered at her when she continued on. He knew she was playing him, trying to get back at him, and he wasn't buying it. It was too much fun though, but like always he was careful. "You're rather mistaken. I didn't offer you anything, except to help find you someone."
Aldar grinned wondering what she was going to do next.

Jamie finally burst out laughing. "Aldar, please. Don't even try to switch your story. I can almost garauntee that if I had agreed in your office, there would be gossip abound about the pair of us. Really, such denial and stubbornness is very unbecoming in a man such as you," she chuckled, running a finger over his knee and moving even closer to him, now in an uncomfortable space with him, one that would be quite awkward for a passerby to see.

Aldar cocked his head to the side and wondered what he should do. The situation was indeed strange, but what exactly was she aiming at? Should he stay or should he get up. He decided that the best course of action would be to take the middle way. So, Aldar swiftly moved to a crouching position, his feet still firmly on the bench. He had taken out a bouncy ball and proceded to toss it up and down, so that his elbow would annoyingly knock against Jamie.
Aldar spoke between each bounce, his gaze not even on the ball as he continued to bounce it back and forth on the floor. "You seem...rather concerned....intent....on rumors...what people think....can't seem to...have your reputation....stained now...could we...sadly.....you'll be....disappointed....I rather..."
Aldar stopped suddenly, "you are rather strange. I wonder what happened to mess you up so....No, you were probably born with part of yourself missing."

Jamie chuckled, following his movement and catching his elbow as it jostled her slightly. She leaned on it, smiling fawningly up at him. "Really? Do I make your that nervous? My dear, if it was nerves, you should have something," she said, grinning wolfishly. She laughed again. "I beg your pardon. As you can see, I am well and whole. I think it is you that is missing something if you feel that this is all my fault. After all, who leaned over me until I was pressed into the chair in your office? Who brought up children and family? You see, love, we're not all that different," she purred into his ear, her voice was low and throaty as her fingers tightened on his elbow, her nails making rumpled in his sleeve....

Aldar looked at Jamie his gaze narrowing, it was time to get serious. "Those were my techniques to see if you had anything at all to say about the rumors. You never give me a straight forward answer, so they had to be implemented."
Aldar picked up Jamie's hand and removed it from his arm as if it was something he never wanted to touch. "I would like to remind you about your position. Have you no honor? A head auror like you, throwing yourself onto people. This is not like you Ms. Smith and I am beginning to wonder why the Ministry hired you in the first place."
Aldar stood up and stretched, his expression not really serious, but not his usual self. She did not know that he suspected her of anything, no one knew. So, the only reason why she would be acting like this was if she did have something to hide. His suspiscion of her being who he thought she was, was only growing.

Jamie laughed at Aldar, and continued to laugh for a moment, before she sneered at him. "And why is anything I have to say about them important? Why are the rumors even on your mind? We all know people talk, especially during stressful times. That you take these rumors seriously just shows how lacking your focus and investigation skills are. But then again, you are the minister. Merely a figurehead, I should not have expected more, and yet I find myself disappointed."
Jamie stood, smirking. "Don't like your own medicine, do you?" She snorted, then glared at him again, half sneering, half smirking. "I admire your paranoia, but I can assure you, you have nothing to worry about. Your doubts are to be expected, but do not underestimate me. If you paid more attention to the running of this ministry, and played less games trying to figure people that do not want your forced soul searching, perhaps we would not be in the pinch we are in now," she spat, sneering at him again. "Now, kindly fuck off, and keep you to yourself," she smirked, straightening herself up ad beginning to walk away.

Aldar stood there listening to Jamie, trying not to smile, but at the most appear hurt and betrayed. If he could appear like she had hurt him, that he was really weak and just a figure head as she put it, then the better for him.
She was wrong on all accounts though. Yes, he played games, yes, he analyzed people but only her in extent detail. He wanted her to mess up, to let something slip, but then again he could just imprision her. But there wasn't much fun in that. Besides, who would rise up after Jamie? Someone would replace her and the cycle would continue.
Aldar watched her walk away, and he slipped the bouncy ball back into his pocket. Yes, things were going to be very interesting.
