Jamie laughed as Aldar began to blush, her laughter going until her stomach hurt. Her hand holding the drink shook, and Jamie took another hearty swig. The room became very warm though, as Jamie completely processed what Aldar had said, and Jamie blushed even more. "I don't think..... Well I mean....no one has actually showed any interest, and I've found that the position actually drives quite a few away," she stumbled, partially from alcohol, and partially from embarrassment. At once, she realized how slurred her words sounded, and she blushed again. "Bloody hell, I sound like my father," she groaned, laying her head in her arms before seeming to shrug it off and take another drink....

Aldar laughed, "well...it's their loss..."
Aldar paused before continuing, "if I had a hat on...I would take it off for you...for you have been the most intriguing person I have ever me..t....ah...worked with."
Aldar noticed her words and position, he didn't know how to react. "Well...you sound perfectly fine to me...if anything...at least you had a father...but never mind!" Aldar waved his hand as if swatting away a bug, "all that's in the past..."

Jamie laughed weakly, her stomach muscles aching while the rest of her muscles burned, half from the exhaustion of the day, and the other half from the alcohol. "That's not what you were saying the other day," she said, giggling. The room Seemed to spin slightly, and Jamie looked at her unfinished glass. "And thanks Merlin non of it can come back," she said, looking ticked off for a moment before she took another drink... "Bloody hell, I need to finish this and get home..." She groaned.

Aldar laughed, "well whoever was saying those things the other day, sure wasn't me."
He noticed through the blur he was in that she seemed ticked off for a moment and he made a mental note to ask her about it, but he was sure that it would probably float on away.
Aldar quickly finished his drink and looked at Jamie, "well, I believe it will be an interesting feat for both of us...to get home...I mean. The darn thing about hiding one's house...is getting lost along the way...there's so many things to remember..." Aldar stood up as if testing to see how well he could manage, he swayed slightly and thinking better of it, sat back down. He wouldn't move until it was absolutely necessary.

Jamie laughed. "You are saying that you have a different opinion now then...?? Or am I confused?? I'm probably confused...." Jamie mumbled, her head fuzzy and her words slurred enough to notice it. She rubbed a hand over her face before finishing her drink. Then she stood, wobbled, and sat back down. "It looks as though neither of us are going anywhere," She tittered, peeling her jacket off as the room became uncomfortably warm...

Aldar chuckled, "I think..we are both confused...I can't remember where my house is...and well...we are both utterly confused...would you like another drink...or shall we continue on talking?" Aldar asked as he watched Jamie take off her jacket.
There was a part of him that was telling him to be careful, to not say too much about his past or what it was like inside his mind, so he drunkenly wandered away from the question and arrived at another answer.

"Well, hell, I'm not going anywhere. Might as well drink," Jamie chuckled, signalling the batman to come over to their table. She tittered again for a moment. "How can you not remember where your house is?? I know where mine is, I just don't have the coordination to get there," she chuckled, sipping on the glass the barman had brought over. She stared at it for a moment before speaking, chuckling as she did so. "So how come you don't have a... A girlfriend??" She asked.

Aldar also grabbed another drink and he laughed, "ah, well, I know where it is I guess...it's just there's so many steps to get there...one forgets."
He paused a serious look on his face, "well...I've never had a girlfriend I guess cause of my past....been gone a lot and when I was at school...Hogwarts...I had to leave a lot for work...if you could call it that...there's a point that people....they can't look past what has happened...or what you're like as a person...it's hard to explain without...getting into everything."
Aldar smiled and took another drink. "How about you?"

Jamie raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "That many security measures?" She asked, looking surprised. She listened, half interested as he explained. As he turned the question on her, she hesitated, taking a drink to stall her answer. Finally, she opened her mouth to speak, then paused, realizing that there was a multitude of reasons. She shut her mouth and took another drink, before setting the glass down and studying it for a moment. "There are many reasons. One being that my reputation precedes me, and I don't really care to correct it. My father also....kept me busy. My mother died when I was still an infant, so there were no lessons about men and life as a female, or how to make relationships... There are just so many reasons...." Jamie said soberly, her drunken lightheartedness replaced by a slurred grimness that was mildly disturbing. Had Jamie been sober, there never would have been this conversation. But as it stood, Jamie stared drunkenly at her glass, looking confused and bewildered as revelations and even more reinforcing reasons for her actions earlier in life came to her.

Aldar nodded to her question about the security measures, "yes...due to my past many people want me dead...though I guess my actions haven't changed as much either...to give them reason to forget."
Aldar listened to Jamie's words watching her as she spoke. His expression also became grim and he turned his glass as he thought about what to say. "I am sorry about the loss of your mother...I can't imagine what it most of been..." Aldar took a drink before continuing, "my parents apparently killed themselves days after I was born....grew up with a man I can barely remember....until he was murdered when I was still very young...eight I believe it was...then...then I died everyday...and learned to kill." Aldar took another drink and looked at Jamie.
"You know Hogwarts was the first time I had...been around people...and not targets. I studied their interactions more than anything else. I was like death wanting to make friends with the lives I would take away...and even then...I couldn't. I was 16...upon entering...and I was put into my last year. You can't learn much about people in a year....especially when you don't know how to hold a conversation."
Aldar laughed, "I guess I wasn't fashioned to be human. Yet, I still desire what others desire. Yet, it's something I feel life will not hand over so easily."

"Due to your past...." Jamie snorted. "More like you in general. Whatever your past may be, your current position doesn't exactly take you down in the target list," She said wisely. She listened closely now, an eyebrow raised through her drunken haze. Somehow, despite the warmth and fuzziness, the predator in Jamie seemed to turn an ear and become interested. Then Jamie shrugged. "I didn't try making friends. I found that people are more problems than I would rather deal with. They make their oiwn swamps, and I don't care to step in them. I don't think you're really missing out on anything," she said casually, leaning back. "Relationships take effort, and I don't have time or personality for that," she said with a lazy smirk.

Aldar laughed, "is it really your personality that keeps you from relationships? You can't blame or use an excuse on such an abstract entity. There are many factors that go into making you who you are, and what you deem to be important. It's up to you to look into yourself and pin-point what areas are affecting what you love or feel cannot love." Aldar grinned, taking another drink.
"The core of the spirit is to be connected to the world around it, the living world. Stop pouring too much self-hate into your spirit, Jamie. Your container may already be broken but instead of pouring and filling up with work, hate, and poison, killing your spirit, try pouring some love into your spirit. Connect with the living world and start anew. I don't care how or even if you do it, but enjoy yourself, plant a garden, star-gaze. You don't even need people around. But I know you yearn for love, so after taking those baby steps you can invite someone along." Aldar looked at Jamie an unreadable expression on his face.

Jamie listened halfheartedly, looking skeptical at first, a look that quickly turned into an incredulous stare. Then Jamie began to crack up, laughing so hard that tears actually came to her eyes. Finally, she caught her breath, her face and stomach aching. "When did you become a...a Counselor? Eh? When did you get your certification to be a psychologist?" She asked, before laughing again. She took a deep drink from her glass, before setting it down and shaking her head. "Such an eloquent speech. How do you not have a girl by now?" She asked, before cracking up. She really was fine alone. Relationships merely complicated things, got in the way of her ambitions. Jamie shook her head again, laughing at the idea of having any kind of romantic relationship...

Aldar laughed, "why don't you answer that question for me? And why are you so persistent on my having a girl friend? If you want me to date someone, offer up yourself. I don't see anyone else being so concerned about the matter." Aldar grinned, taking another drink. He watched Jamie, being careful not to give anything away.

Jamie snorted. "Usually, a man like yourself, one that talks so smoothly and isn't afraid to pin a woman into a chair in his office is quite in demand, and would have had relationships by now," she commented, a smirk on her face. "Unless you're...not into women," she said, laughing again. She took a drink, then choked, her face turning red as she coughed and blushed. "No...Just no," she said, shaking her head vigorously...
