Erin aparated outside of Smith Manor, she had heard whispers that Jamie had been in the hospital and that somehow Aldar had been involved, but she had to find out for herself what the truth was behind the whispers. smoothing out her white trench coat, Erin walked up the steps the heels of her fire engine red heels clicking on the stones.
Knocking on the door, Erin waited for an answer.

Jamie was yanked from her book as the pop of someone apparating echoed across the estate. Her head still ached occassionally, and she had been ordered out of her office by Ministry employees citing standards, and that she had to take a day to recoup due to the jinx, much to her frustration. Jamie stood from the large cream colored couch she had been sitting on, shutting the book and placing it on the mahogany table in the center of the large, open living room. She walked to the door, her wand in hand if need be, before opening it. When she saw Erin, her face warmed, and she smiled at the younger woman. "Erin! Do come in. I apologize for not being there this morning. I was chased out by protocol freaks," she said with a crooked grin. She stepped aside to let Erin in before walking further into the house, leading the girl to the living room, and open kitchen. "Would you like something to drink, wine, butterbeer?" Jamie asked, smiling slightly at her apprentice...

Erin smiled as Jamie invited her in. "It's all good," she said with a smile following Jamie lead the way into the kitchen. "I just had to see if the rumors were true." Erin shrugged her thin shoulder. "A butterbeer would be fabulous," Erin said undoing her trench coat and taking it off and hanging it on the back of a chair. "I know you might not remember a lot," Erin said leaning against the counter. "But what happened?"

Jamie grabbed a pair of butterbeers before leading Cally into the living room and handing her one. "Make yourself at home" she said lightly, sitting back down on the couch she had been seated on before. She set the drink down before looking at Erin seriously. "Erin... I am going to tell you the complete story, and more than anyone in that department knows, because I trust you. There are some things that I may tell you that are not for other ears, due to their nature.... Can I trust you to keep it to yourself?" She asked, her brown eyes searching Erin's face...

Taking her butterbeer and sitting in a chair across from Jamie, Erin crossed one of her legs over the other and got comfy. Tossing her long hair behind her shoulders, Erin nodded at what Jamie was saying. "Of course," she said simply. "I won't tell a soul." Leaning forward a bit in her seat, Erin waited patiently for Jamie to tell her what happened.

Jamie nodded, satisfied. "As a few of the other aurors that were with me know, yesterday I was hit with a nonverbal while dueling a convict. At the time we thought it was merely a throwing spell. I hit my head on a nearby wall and thought that was the extent of the spell. Later, I came back to my office ad drank some leftover coffee. Aldar was there and I had trusted him enough not to tamper with my drink. However, he had put Veritaserum in the coffee and began asking questions. What I had thought was a simple throwing jinx was actually a sleeping Cunfundus charm, which reared it's ugly head when he began to ask me questions about my job and the ministry. I blacked out and woke in the hospital..... After which Aldar took me back to my office to keep an eye on me to make sure the jinx wore off. It is what happened after that, however, is what is important, and what I wish you to keep secret for now," Jamie said, watching Erin as she told her story. Jamie sat up, flicking her wand. A pensieve came quickly to her call, before gently settling on the table. The transparent bowl was empty, and Jamie looked at Erin. "If you agree, I would like to show you something very important. I want none of this leaked to the rest of the baboons in the department just yet. Should anything come of what happened, then we will worry about it," she said.
Jamie took her wand and pressed it against her temple, a small silver string clinging to it as she pulled it away. A gentle tap on r&r ebony wand sent it into the Pensieve, and Jamie gestured to Erin with her hand to go into the memory with her...

Erin blinked shocked at what she was hearing. She had heard the part about Jamie battling the convict, but it was the part about Aldar that had her spinning and totally confused. She had seen Aldar as a loyal mentor and friend, but what Jamie was saying, totally altered her view of the minister of magic. "He did what?" Erin gasped trying to picture Aldar being that manipulative. Surprisingly, Erin found herself believing everything that Jamie was saying, and starting to feel betrayed by Aldar, and as if she couldn't trust him herself.
"Of course I agree, I won't tell a soul," Erin said watching as Jamie pressed her wand to her temple and pulled the silver threat out. Placing her drink on the counter, Erin followed Jamie to the pensive waiting for her mentor to lead the way.

Jamie smiled dryly. "Yes... It would seem that he doesn't trust me. My other suspicion is that he is rifling for information; whether about me or the Ministry, or both, remains to be seen," she said. "You see, he thinks that I am a threat to him. And rightfully so. But enough for now. Let me show you what I am talking about," Jamie said, flicking her wrist as though brushing that thought from the air. She took Erin's hand as they submerged themselves into the memories.
For a moment, everything was flashes and blurs, before images settled and the scene was set. Jamie watched again as she nagged Aldar for her wand, as she slammed the coffee cup down and saw the medical report. She watched as she and Aldar bickered, until Aldar seemed to snap and change, when Jamie issued her warning then used her wandless magic as defense.
Jamie felt her lip curl as she watched herself slip into her animagus form and snap at Aldar's heels and all hell broke loose. She actually winced as she saw the knife slice through her flesh as she attempted to bring the snapped Minister. As he taunted her from the top of her desk, Jamie felt a snarl cross her lips, then felt a small part of smugness come forward when she saw the beautiful punch she had executed before Aldar seemed to regain himself.
Jamie glanced over at Erin and took her hand again. "I think we've seen enough," she said, pulling them back out.
Jamie stepped back, studying Erin. "Now, what did you see?" She asked the apprentice, before sitting back down.
((I would recommend reading the thread where this all takes place if you haven't yet. Lol)))
